<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game unit in which a player can freely choose other players playing together and an information storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: A list screen of other player information (information on other players who can play together in a common game space) is displayed and if the player chooses the other players, who play together, using this screen as a judgement criterion, a game operation for the player and the other selected players to play in the common game space is performed. The other player information includes game merit information on the other players, history information (searched based on ID after inputting), and information on characters 20, 22, and 24 to operate, etc.. The modification information of a vehicle and message information, which the other players input, may be outputted. When waging a war against the other players is not chosen, waging the war against a computer is performed. The other players, who play together, and the game space to play can be reserved.
