<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that SIP communication between different areas is not attained since an address translator does not perform address translation in SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) message. <P>SOLUTION: The address translator 1 is provided with an SIP message detection function. The address translator 1 transmits the SIP message to an SIP address translator 2 at the time of detecting SIP message. The SIP address translator 2 extracts an address to be translated and inquires to the address translator 1. The SIP address translator 2 translates IP address included in the SIP message by utilizing the translated information of the address translator 1.
