PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress lowering of yield causing an insulation breakage of a scanning line and a data line composing display pixel in a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: A plurality of the display pixels 10 are formed on each panel region 1P. Then, the scanning line 11 and the data line 12 of each display pixel 10 are formed so as to be extended up to the outside of the panel region 1P. Next, in the outside of the panel region 1P, a short circuit is performed between a plurality of the scanning lines 11, a short circuit is performed between a plurality of the data lines 12, and further wiring 30 for the short circuit short-circuited between the scanning line 11 and the data line 12 is formed. A second board 2 is bonded through a spacer not shown on a first glass board 1, and a liquid crystal is sealed between the first and second glass boards 1 and 2 to form a liquid crystal layer not shown. Finally, the first and second glass boards 1 and 2 are cut along the outer edge of each panel region 1P to be separated into a plurality of panels i.e. a plurality of the liquid crystal displays.
