PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce area occupied on a PCB and to improve competitiveness in price by providing a gray voltage generation part in the form of a chip. SOLUTION: This driving apparatus for a display device including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, and each pixel includes first and second sub-pixels. The apparatus includes; a memory 650 for storing digital data; a control part 600 for reading the digital data to output the digital data together with a clock signal and at least one selection signal; and a gray voltage generation part 800 being consist of an integrated circuit to receive the digital data from the control part 600 and to generate gray reference voltage sets. The gray voltage generation part 800 includes first and second registers for storing the digital data, a selection part including a plurality of multiplexers for receiving the outputs of the first and the second registers, and a conversion part including a plurality of digital-analog converters connected to the multiplexers, respectively.
