PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information registration retrieval system simple in configuration and easy in installation and revisier, and an information registration retrieval method allowing easy access to a desired data file. SOLUTION: This information registration retrieval system S has an information management server 2, and a plurality of terminals 5 connected via a communication line 1. The terminal 5 receives at least one registration retrieval key selected from a plurality of the registration retrieval keys by a user, receives management information showing an attribute of the data file, adds them to the data file to be registered, transmits them as registration requirement data, and registers them in the information management server 2. At retrieval, the information management server 2 retrieves the data file including additional information on the basis of the retrieval key from the terminal 5, and returns the retrieval result to the terminal 5.
