PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition for dyeing the hair by the repeated use of a direct dye, having excellent dyeing power and effective for preventing secondary adhesion and stiffening of the hair. SOLUTION: The hair dye composition for dyeing hair by the repeated use of the composition contains (A) 0.01-5 mass% direct dye and (B) 1-20 mass% aromatic alcohol and has a pH of 1.5-5.0.
