PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oiling mechanism which can easily feed a lubricant to the sliding section of a sewing machine. SOLUTION: An oiling pipe 35 which has an oiling port 36 in the direction being orthogonal to the axial direction of an upper shaft 3, and at the same time, is freely turnably connected with the end surface in the axial direction of an eccentric cam 4 which is fixed and provided on the upper shaft 3 is provided. The oiling pipe 35 can be fastened under a state in which the oiling port 36 faces the shaft center of the upper shaft 3. Thus, when a grease is replenished in a grease storing section 31 in the eccentric cam 4 from the outside of the sewing machine 100, the grease can easily be fed from an oiling port 31 which is made to face the direction being orthogonal to the upper shaft 3. When the oiling port 36 is fastened under a state in which the oiling port 36 is made to face the axial center of the upper shaft 3, the leakage of the grease from the oiling port 36 can be prevented from occurring by a centrifugal force accompanying the rotation of the upper shaft 3, and a lid is not required to be placed on the oiling port 36. Also, by forming the oiling pipe 35 into a T shape, the feeding of the grease even to double eccentric cams 4 and 4 can be performed by a single greasing work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
