<p>The invention concerns a machine for making stuffing mats from a paper web (B) by continuously creasing the web (B) using a driving/creasing device consisting of two trains of superimposed rollers (1, 4) arranged one behind the other, the first train driving the web (B), the second train rotating at a more reduced speed than the first for creasing, the mats being then obtained by transversely segmenting the creased web. The segmenting device consists of a double train of superimposed rollers (1, 4), the first train being maintained fixed and blocking the paper web (B) while the second train is subjected to a rapid acceleration from a stopped position so as to cut the web (B) between the two trains of rollers.</p> |
