<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and accelerate an examination using OCT. <P>SOLUTION: A method for generating an image using optical coherence tomography includes: a step for transmitting and receiving light with a transmitter/receiver arranged in a catheter (5); a step for generating an image by an image generation device from the light received with the receiver; a step for delivering rinsing fluid into a section of a vessel containing the transmitter/receiver by a rinsing device (2).
