<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner for an elevator performing efficient air-conditioning suitable for a situation in a cage by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The air-conditioner for the elevator for controlling an in-cage fan 40 installed in a cage 1 of the elevator comprises: a temperature detection means 10 for detecting the temperature in the cage 1; a floor occupancy area detection means for detecting the floor occupancy area in the cage 1, for example, a piezoelectric element 20; a calculation means 30a for calculating the air volume on the basis of a predetermined formula from the output of the temperature detection means 10 and the output of the piezoelectric element 20; and an air volume control means 30b for controlling the air volume of the in-cage fan 40 according to the result of the calculation.
