<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet aligning device capable of smoothly moving paper sheets in the width direction when correcting the transverse resist. <P>SOLUTION: The paper sheet aligning device having resist roller pairs 2, 2', a positional deviation detection means 4, a resist roller pair moving means 26, and upstream roller pairs 3, 3' has a holding force mitigation means 29 for mitigating the paper sheet holding force between the upstream roller pairs 3, 3'. When moving the resist roller pairs 2, 2' in the direction orthogonal to the paper sheet conveying direction by the resist roller pair moving means 26, the paper sheet holding force between the upstream roller pairs 3, 3' is mitigated by the holding force mitigation means 29 so that the upstream roller 3 is not separated from the paper sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
