<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for selling or purchasing merchandise over a communication network that enable the prompt purchase of particular items of merchandise and donation to an arbitrary organization by particular merchandise purchase. <P>SOLUTION: The method for selling merchandise over a communication network includes: a step of acquiring information on merchandise for sale to allow merchandise information including a description and/or sale price of the merchandise for sale to be browsed from a purchaser terminal through a WWW browser; a step of presenting the sale price, and an amount of donation and/or the percentage of the donation given to a donee organization corresponding to the sale price, all included in the merchandise information; a step of accepting purchase offer information for the merchandise including information identifying the purchaser; a step of confirming whether or not the payment has been completed by the purchaser; and the step of recording donation information corresponding to the content of the purchase offer information of the purchaser. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
