<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the movability by suppressing the lowering of the strength as much as possible by cutting the front/rear surfaces of a neck of a stem for mounting a bone head in a prescribed direction in a prosthetic hip joint. <P>SOLUTION: This prosthetic hip joint comprises a concave shell cup to be inserted in the articular fossa of the pelvis, and a spherical bone head mounted on the femur and fitted in the shell cup, and is characterized in that the bone head is mounted on the tip of the stem in the other side of the neck, and the neck is formed by cutting a circular cylinder with a frontward notch face extending in the front-inside direction and a rearward notch face extending in the rear-outside direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
