PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a printing data for printing a printed matter, in which watermark information can be quickly detected. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises a printing data receiving portion for receiving a printing data and a watermark embedding processing portion. The watermark embedding processing portion embeds a watermark image data representing a watermark image indicative of a predetermined information into the printing data, so as to arrange a plurality of the watermark images in different direction on a printed matter generated based on the printing data.
