PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To electrically detect presence/absence of passivation film used for a display device. SOLUTION: A vertical drive circuit 130 is operated by impressing a predetermined signal and power supply voltage from an STV pad, a CKV1 pad, a CKV2 pad and a VDD pad to measure an output signal of a VOUT pad. Since a first terminal 56 and a second terminal 57 are insulated when there is the passivation film 15, a normal output signal VOUT is obtained in the VOUT pad from the vertical drive circuit 130. On the other hand, since the first terminal 56 and the second terminal 57 are short-circuited when there is not passivation film 15, the normal output signal VOUT can not be obtained. Thus, the presence/absence of the passivation film 15 is electrically detected by measurement results of the output signal VOUT of the VDD pad. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
