PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN system optimum to the distribution of a load taking into account a limit on the number of simultaneous speeches. SOLUTION: A wireless voice terminal informs a central control unit about a speech channel request at call origination, call termination or handover, receives a speech channel assignment being its response to the request, starts a call control sequence at the call origination and the call termination, restarts a speech at the handover, searches a wireless base station when speech channel assignment is rejected from the central control unit, and informs the central control apparatus about a speech channel request again via the newly-connected wireless base station. At the end of the speech, the wireless voice terminal informs the central control apparatus about the opening of the speech channel after the end of the call control sequence for the end of the speech.
