PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate a turning table smoothly by properly maintaining the contact between drive rollers or between the drive roller and the turning table, even if a read turning table swings. SOLUTION: An apparatus reads the image of a photography, a handwritten card, or the like placed on the turning table 11 that is a read table as a material image, and creates an album image from the material image. In the apparatus, there are provided a first drive roller 21 connected to a motor 19; a second drive roller 22, arranged between the first drive roller 21 and the turning table 11 (drive circle 11C); a second roller holding body 24 that rotatably holds the second drive roller 22 and can be moved in the tangential line direction of the drive circle 11C, and is journaled, while the second roller holding body 24 can be oscillated in the radial direction of the drive circle 11C; and energizing members 27, 32 for allowing the second drive roller 22 to appropriately come into contact with both of the drive circle 11C and the first drive roller 21, when the turning table 11 moves horizontally.
