PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket improved in sealing performance. SOLUTION: In the gasket 10 for sealing a clearance between two facing surfaces, at least one of the two surfaces is formed of a plurality of members adjacent to each other, and a liquid seal is applied to a region including at least a part of a boundary part of the adjacent members out of the seal face of the gasket 10. The region to which the liquid seal is applied, is provided with a liquid seal holding part 20 composed of a plurality of projecting parts 21, 22 and a plurality of recessed parts 23.
