摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a bearing while maintaining the rigidity and wear resistance of balls 6 in an angular contact ball bearing in which the balls 6 are brought into two-point contact with the raceway surface 2 of one of an outer ring 1 and an inner ring 3, the balls 6 are brought into at least one-point contact with the other raceway surface 4, contact points a, b on the one raceway surface 2 are positioned on the axial one side of a bearing center line C, and contact points c, d on the other raceway surface 4 are positioned on the opposite side of the axial one side. SOLUTION: This angular contact ball bearing adopts ceramic balls 6. With this configuration, even if the balls 6 perform complicated spinning, since they are superior to steel balls in lightness, rigidity, and hardness, the diameter and the number of the balls can be reduced by an amount equivalent to these priorities.
