PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-stroke one-cycle engine in which output and cooling are performed in one cycle, requiring no radiator depending on a reduction in the size of the radiator, the number of explosion rotations of the engine, and the movements of valves, because the more the explosion rotations occur the more the engine is cooled (generating much cooling gas). SOLUTION: In a compression stroke, an exhaust valve is opened at a bottom dead center until combustion gas is excessively expanded to lower a gas pressure to one or below in an expansion stroke and resists the rotation of a crankshaft by a piston or longer and then closed. In the expansion stroke, any operations are performed, and in an exhaust stroke, an intake valve is opened at a bottom dead center, and when the gas pressure reaches one, the intake valve is closed and the exhaust valve is opened and closed at the top dead center.
