PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of reducing the wear of an contact part due to impact at the time of closing needle valve by sufficiently securing a contact area of the abutting part in which a contact surface of a nozzle needle 5 abuts onto a contact surface 91 of a spring seat part 7 besides reducing a parts count through the abolition of a rod pressure or the like. SOLUTION: A spring seat part 7 for receiving a spring load of a return spring 4 is integrally formed in a needle side end of an axial part 77 in a command piston 6. A contact area of the abutting part in which an contact surface of a needle head part 61 in a nozzle needle 5 abuts onto a contact surface 91 of the spring seat part 7 in the command piston 6, is made larger in comparison with that by a conventional technology. By so doing, the wear in the contact part due to impact at the time of closing needle valve can be reduced. As a result, a secular change in fuel injection amount of an injector 1 can be controlled without reducing the spring load of the return spring 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
