PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of restraining an increase in an operation load by properly performing a correction operation of the fuel injection timing in response to the detected actual ignition timing by detecting the actual ignition timing of fuel from cylinder internal pressure detected by a cylinder internal pressure sensor. SOLUTION: A target main injection timing map value CAFMM is calculated by retrieving a map of setting the target main injection timing in response to an engine speed NE and request torque TRQ, and a fuel injection timing correction quantity CAD is calculated in response to an ignition delay angle DCAM being a difference between the target main injection timing map value CAFMM and the actual ignition timing CAFM detected on the basis of cylinder internal pressure sensor output. A main injection timing map value CAIMM calculated in response to the engine speed NE and the request torque TRQ, is corrected by the fuel injection timing correction quantity CAD.
