PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hall lantern, in which lighting status is easily discriminated without increasing power consumption. SOLUTION: This elevator display device is provided with an illuminance detector 7 to detect the illuminance of installation environments of the hall lantern 13 installed for each cage at an elevator hall to light before arrival of the cage. The hall lantern 13 comprises a plurality of light sources. A control means is provided which switches the light sources according to on the illuminance detected by the illuminance detector 7.
