PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve driving performance and braking performance on an ice or snow road surface without impairment of driveability on a dry road surface and a wet road surface, by making sipes arranged on block land parts proper. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a plurality of main grooves 2, 3 intersecting each other is arranged on a tread portion to divide/form a large number of the block land parts 4, and a plurality of the sipes 5 is arranged on the block land parts 4. When the block land part 4 is divided into a tire width direction center area 6 and tire width direction both side areas 7, 7', the sipes 5 are densely arranged in the tire width direction center area 6 rather than the tire width direction side areas 7, 7'. An extending shape in a depth direction of the sipe 5 is zigzag or wavelike in the tire width direction side areas 7, 7' and linear in the tire width direction center area 6 of the block land part 4.
