PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gauze from which X-ray contrast threads do not easily fallen off even the number of X-ray contrast threads is increased. SOLUTION: On the outer sides in the width direction of an X-ray contrast thread arrangement section 6 having two X-ray contrast threads 5 passing across wefts 3 alternately, four warps 11 are closely arranged next to each other to form an outside sections 7 adjacent to each of X-ray contrast threads 5 and 5. An intermediate section 8 is formed inside the X-ray contrast thread arrangement section 6 in the width direction, adjacent to the X-ray contrast threads 5 and 5 by arranging a warp 12 between the X-ray contrast threads 5 and 5. Because the X-ray contrast threads 5 and 5 of the X-ray contrast thread arrangement section 6 do not adjacent to each other, spaces between the X-ray contrast threads 5 and the wefts 3 are not easily created between the X-ray contrast thread 5 and 5.
