PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating bathtub cover having an excellent heat insulating property, relative light weight, and excellent in convenience to use. SOLUTION: A cover body 1 is composed of a heat insulating lamination plate having a thickness of 10-20 mm which is obtained by laminating hard surface plates 4 and 5 on the upper and lower surfaces of a light heat insulating plate 3 composed of a synthetic resin foam having a thickness of 8-18 mm and a bulk specific gravity of≤0.5. The peripheral edge of the cover body 1 is formed with a compressed flat portion 6 compressed into a thickness of a half the thickness of the heat insulating lamination plate or less, and the peripheral edge of the cover body 1 is formed with an edge protector by injection molding so as to wrap the compressed flat portion 6.
