PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat pad and cushioning material provided with grooves having openings of a small width, and having a sufficient adhesion strength of skin material and a good appearance. SOLUTION: The groove 20 is provided between a part for buttocks and a side part of the seat pad 1A. The groove 20 has a trapezoid shape having the opening of an approximately equal width and an inner part formed wider toward the bottom so that the width W<SB>1</SB>of the opening is smaller than the width W<SB>2</SB>of the maximum width on the bottom. A fastener 21 is provided on the bottom of the groove 20 so as to extend the entire width, and a fastener 31 is provided on the skin material 30 so as to be engaged with the fastener 21.
