<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens holder and an optical pickup capable of focusing the laser beam through the objective lens on the information surface without causing collision to the stack ring. <P>SOLUTION: This objective lens holder faces the laser beam incident surface of an optical disk medium, has a stack ring projecting from the position inner than the innermost periphery of the information surface while holding an objective lens to focus the laser beam on the information surface, and circumferentially moves on the optical recording medium. When the distance to the surface is set smaller than the height of the stack ring in the thickness direction of the disk, notched sections are provided on the stack ring to avoid colliding with the stack ring even when the objective lens focuses the laser beam in the innermost area of the information surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
