<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell made of an inorganic material with large proton conductivity and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the electrolyte membrane for the fuel cell used and interposed between an anode and a cathode, a thin membrane obtained by etching a blocking tip part barrier layer on a cathode side of pores formed in one kind of thin membrane selected from alumina, silica, titania, ceria and indium oxide in a direction of membrane thickness in a row by the anode oxidation method to penetrate to the cathode side is heated to 700-900 °C. Gas wherein propylene gas and nitrogen gas are mixed is passed to form a carbon nanotube in an inner wall of a pore. Both end parts of the carbon nanotube protruded from a thin membrane pore are oxidized and removed by introducing 0.05-0.2 atmosphere of oxygen or colliding oxygen plasma on the surface at 500-600 °C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
