<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition capable of forming high-quality image excellent in dispersibility of a fine coloring agent and its stability, having vivid color tone and high coloring force, being curable by irradiation of active energy beam and suitable for inkjet recording and to provide an image-forming method using the ink composition and further to provide a printed matter obtained by using the ink composition curable by irradiation of active energy beam and having vivid color tone and high coloring force. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises at least (b) a coloring agent and (c) a compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein R is an alkyl group, an acyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryl group, a sulfonyl group or sulfamoyl group; X is either one selected from a single bond, an alkylene group, -O-, -S-, -NR<SP>1</SP>- (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group) and -C(=O)-; ring A and ring B represent each independently a ring and at least either one thereof is an aromatic ring]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
