<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and set an appropriate standby time in double-side recording, even under circumstances where ink fixing time to a recording medium is influenced in response to various conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A recording medium is replenished into an imaging device while recording a plurality of test patches at a staggered timing. In this case, an unfixed ink adheres to a conveyance means (a pinch roller) inside the device and in turn, is again transferred to a blank region of the recording medium. Since the test patches are recorded in a different timely manner, the time required for fixing the ink can be confirmed by checking the execution and position of a transfer. When an image is outputted some other time, the standby time has to last only by the confirmed fixing time of the ink, and later the recording medium is conveyed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
