<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a function of managing a shift to a power-saving mode of the image forming apparatus itself depending on the state of a terminal connected to the image forming apparatus via a network. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to include: an operating state detection means for detecting the operating state of terminals connected to the network and utilizing the image forming apparatus; and a power function changeover means that switches a power function of the image forming apparatus in response to the number of the terminals in operation detected by the operating state detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
