METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REPAIRING COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and system for repairing a defective part of a component. SOLUTION: In this method, a slot 30 is formed in the component to eliminate at least a substantial part of the defective part. The slot 30 includes shapes of an initial cut 76, a finishing cut 77 and a chamfering cut 78. This system for repairing the defective part of the component is provided with: fixtures 50 and 60 for holding arranged to receive the component and fix the component in position; and at least a device for elimination (a grinding wheel 34, for instance) to form the slot 30 of a prescribed shape in the component.
