PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable alarm which can be immediately operated in an emergency even by an infant or elderly person, and whose crime preventing functions are particularly perfect. SOLUTION: This portable alarm is provided with an alarm sound generation control means for making an alarm sound generating means generate an alarm sound by separating a start means from a portable alarm and an announcement control means for automatically reporting emergency to the prescribed other party, and for transmitting information including location information detected by a location information detecting means through the communication network of a traveling object in response to a request from the prescribed other party.
