PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the data reference and update of a database not present on an own computer at high speed without the use of useless resources and instantaneously perform processing interlocking with data update regardless of a computer which accesses to a database. SOLUTION: In the method for data management among a plurality of computers in which data in a master computer C-M are referred and updated from a remote computer C-R, and an event report is performed depending on an update content, a mode management means 11R of each remote computer recognizes that a transmitting source is the master computer from master computer information from the master computer, and a table management means 13R of the remote computer performs download when an application 19R in an own computer accesses data and requested data are not present in a database 12R.
