PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector 100 constituted so that cooling effects may be improved by installing an outlet in the bottom panel of the projector, and also, the discharged air may not be sent to observers. SOLUTION: Regarding the projector 100 with the projector main body case where a light source apparatus 210, a light source side optical system 220, a display element 230, a projection side optical system 250, and also, a power supply circuit 261 and a projector control means 263 are installed, the outlet 145 is formed in the bottom panel 140 of the main body case 100, and an air discharge port 195 having a passage for guiding a part of the air from an air fan 193 to the projector bottom panel 140 is formed in the bottom panel 140 of the projector main body case, and a lifting mechanism is arranged on the bottom panel 140 of the projector main body case, then, the front side of the projector main body case can be lifted, and the optical axis of the projection side optical system 250 for the projector 100 is inclined forward with reference to the bottom panel 140 of the projector main body case.
