PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation of an optical fiber array and alignment with a lens array with high positional accuracy, and also to facilitate production with simple manufacturing processes. SOLUTION: The optical connector is provided with a lens array comprising a plurality of lenses, and is connected to the end of an optical fiber array comprising a plurality of parallel coated optical fibers. The optical connector is equipped with: a lens holder for holding the lens array; a fiber holding section which is formed integrally with the lens holder, which projects to the side opposite the lens array, and which holds the coated optical fibers and the optical fibers protruding from their tip end; and a fixing plate for fixing the optical fibers in the fiber holding section; wherein the lens holder is provided with a fitting part into which a fixing plate is inserted.
