摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for an electronic device which is superior in alignment performanceof liquid crystal molecules or the like, to provide a liquid crystal panel high in reliability, and to provide electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel 1 has a TFT substrate 17, a counter substrate 12 for the liquid crystal panel which is opposed to the TFT substrate 17, an alignment layer 3 provided to the TFT substrate 17, an alignment layer 4 provided to the counter substrate 12 for the liquid crystal panel, and a liquid crystal layer 2 interposed between the alignment layer 3 and alignment layer 4. Each of the alignment layer 3 and alignment layer 4 includes an inorganic oxide film which is formed by an oblique vapor deposition method and has a plurality of pores, and satisfies 0.55log<SB>e</SB>t≤S<SB>2</SB>/S<SB>1</SB>≤0.55log<SB>e</SB>t+4.4, where S<SB>1</SB>is the surface area [mm<SP>2</SP>] of surfaces forming the alignment layers 3 and 4 of the substrates 17 and 12 measured by a BET method, S<SB>2</SB>is the surface area [mm<SP>2</SP>] of the inorganic oxide film measured by the BET method, and (t) is the mean thickness [nm] of the inorganic oxide film.
