PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel block capable of reducing dust being stuck to a wavelength plate, and to provide a liquid crystal projector apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel block 40 includes: a liquid crystal panel 6; a base 21 for fixing the liquid crystal panel 6; a light shield 23 that causes light to fall onto only the effective dots of the liquid crystal panel 6; the wavelength plate 28 which is disposed opposite to the liquid crystal panel 6 across the light shield 23 and controls the polarized state of light emitted to the liquid crystal panel 6 and the polarized state of light modulated by the liquid crystal panel 6; and a wavelength plate holder which includes a first holder 26 and a second holder 29 to which the wavelength plate 28 is fixed, and holds the wavelength plate 28 so that its rotation can be adjusted. The liquid crystal panel block 40 also includes: a first dust-proof member 25 disposed between the base 21 and the first holder 26; a second dust-proof member 27 disposed between the first holder 26 and the second holder 29; and a third dust-proof member 32 disposed on the second holder 29.
