PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulating exterior material capable of separably laminating and integrating a thermal insulation material and an exterior material without using any joining means such as an adherence and excellent in terms of workability and recycling and the like. SOLUTION: The thermal insulating exterior material 1 is formed by laminating the exterior material 2 on the thermal insulating material 3 with a mounting member 4. The exterior material 2 comprises rising sections 2b on both right and left side edges and interlocking sections 2f on the above the rising sections 2b, and the thermal insulating material 3 is made of a synthetic resin and has approximately vertical opposing sections 3d to both right and left side edges. The mounting member 4 is equipped with interlocking sections 4b capable of being interlocked with the interlocking sections 2f, erected sections 4a parallel with approximately vertical parts 3g of the opposing sections 3d and insertion sections 4c toward the approximately vertical part 3g sides from the erecting sections 4a. The exterior material 2 is laminated on the thermal insulating material3, the interlocking sections 4b are interlocked with the interlocking sections 2f, and the insertion sections 4c are inserted in the opposing sections 3d to separably laminate and hold the thermal insulating material 3 and the exterior material 2 together.
