A conversion terminal includes an algorithm storage unit, e-money acquisition unit, and e-money conversion unit. The algorithm storage unit stores an algorithm to convert a type of e-money. The e-money acquisition unit acquires one type of e-money. The e-money conversion unit converts the acquired e-money into another type of e-money in accordance with the algorithm stored in the algorithm storage unit. A conversion system, conversion server, conversion method, and recording medium are also disclosed.
