Provided are a fuel supply apparatus for supplying fuel to a fuel cell or a reformer which does not need a fuel pump, is reduced in power consumption and noise and is improved in performance and energy efficiency, and a fuel cell system using the fuel supply apparatus. The fuel supply apparatus(30) comprises a fuel storage container(31) which forms a space(33) for accommodating fuel and a compressed air and a fuel discharge part(35); and a porous member(37) which has a plurality of pores(37a) for absorbing the fuel, is formed at the inner wall of the fuel storage container for stopping the fuel discharge part, and flows the fuel to the fuel discharge part by the pressure of the compressed air. Preferably the porous member is made of a porous material selected from the group consisting of ceramic, limestone, activated carbon and foaming sponge.
