A method for manufacturing a mold for a catalytic honeycomb is provided to easily manufacture the catalytic honeycomb having a circular cross-section cell structure having a very thin web thickness. A method for manufacturing a mold for a catalytic honeycomb comprises the steps of: manufacturing a plurality of I-shaped pins each of which has a head section and a middle section having a diameter smaller than that of the head section; forming one plane by attaching the I-shaped pins; forming a feed hole plate by engaging the upper and lower sides of the assembled I-shaped pins by welding; cutting center portions of the welded I-shaped pins; setting the coordinate of a feed hole at the welded portions of the I-shaped pins; and machining a feed hole in the feed hole plate according to the coordinate of the set feed hole. In the step of assembling the pins, the I-shaped pins are assembled so as to form a regular hexagonal plane. |
