<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print support system suitable for achieving the specifications of a printed matter and a target print time. <P>SOLUTION: A host terminal 100 acquires a print specification electronic job ticket, and acquires printer information showing the equipment capability of each of a plurality of printers 200, and selects the printer 200 including a printer 200 capable of partially achieving the specifications of a printed matter for completing printing within a target print time based on the acquired print specification electronic job ticket and the printer information. Then, the host terminal 100 works document data based on the printer information showing the equipment capability of the selected printer 200 and the acquired print specification electronic job ticket, and generates the print setting electronic job ticket including the print setting of the selected printer 200 based on the acquired print specification electronic job ticket.
