<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber-metal composite material in which carbon nanofibers are uniformly dispersed, to provide a method of producing the same, and, to provide a formed product of carbon fiber-metal composite, and to provide a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing a carbon fiber composite metal material comprises: a stage where an elastomer, metal particles and carbon nanofibers are mixed, so as to obtain a carbon fiber composite material; and a stage where the carbon fiber composite material is mixed into a molten metal, and the mixture is cast in a die having a desired shape. The method of producing the formed product of a carbon fiber-metal composite comprises: a stage where an elastomer, metal particles and carbon nanofibers are mixed, so as to obtain a carbon fiber composite material; a stage where the carbon fiber composite material is formed into a desired shape, so as to obtain the formed product of carbon fiber composite; and a stage where a molten metal is allowed to permeate into the formed product of carbon fiber composite, and the elastomer is replaced with the molten metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
