<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, wherein the improvement in maintainability and the long life of an electrostatic latent image carrier are attained by preventing a transfer medium from being stuck to the electrostatic latent image carrier when the image forming apparatus makes emergency stop from a normal operation state. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1A includes a photoreceptor drum 3, a charger 4, an exposure unit 1, a developing device 2, a transfer belt 103, a paper peeling claw 31 for peeling a paper P stuck to the photoreceptor drum 3, and a solenoid for bringing the paper peeling claw 31 into contact with the photoreceptor drum 3 or separating the paper peeling claw 31 from the photoreceptor drum 3 and is controlled so that a toner image on the photoreceptor drum 3 is transferred onto the paper by a transfer electric field. The image forming apparatus includes a stop operation control function 63 which operates the paper peeling claw 31 by the solenoid to separate the paper peeling claw 31 from the photoreceptor drum 3 after stop of driving means other than the solenoid for the paper peeling claw in the case of emergency stop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
