<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer-protecting film which has a (meth)acrylic resin layer, has an extremely thin thickness and can be provided with excellent productivity without causing a problem during manufacture and conveyance, to provide a polarizing plate which is hardly provided with defective appearance and is made by using such a polarizer-protecting film and a polarizer formed from a polyvinyl alcohol type resin, and to provide a high-quality image display device using such a polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film has thermoplastic resin layers on both surface sides of the (meth)acrylic resin layer having a thickness of ≤40μm, wherein the thermoplastic resin layers may be peeled off from the (meth)acrylic resin layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
