<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recording chat for performing recording on which a status or time lapse is reflected, which is characterized by chat whose real time property is high. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a chat picture generating part 104 for generating a chat picture based on chat data from a chat device 102, a status picture generating part 105 for generating a status picture showing a status relating to the user of the chat device 102 based on status data from the chart device 102 and a cartoon compounding part 108 for compounding the chat picture and the status picture, wherein not only the chat picture but also the status picture is generated, and those pictures are compounded.
