PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous body made of fluororesin causing neither crack nor sink mark and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The porous body made of fluororesin is a porous body made of fluororesin having open pores obtained by molding a fluororesin mixed with a pore-forming material to give a molding, extracting the pore-forming material from the molding by using a solvent to dissolve the pore-forming material but not the fluororesin. When the fluororesin is mixed with the pore-forming material in the volume ratio of 1:1 and the mixture is heated to the molding temperature of the fluororesin by a thermogravimetric analyzer and retained for 3 hours, thermal weight loss is≤20 wt.%.
