PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the update of firmware mounted on parts arranged as maintenance parts to its improved version. SOLUTION: When a main power source is input (S101), a storage system prepares a revision table in which the revision of main firmware mounted on the resource management processor of this storage system is stored is prepared (S103). Then, the mail firmware is loaded from a system drive to a cache memory (S104).
